Students Save Lives gives children the confidence and skills to act in an emergency.
We are passionate about children learning life-saving skills and we believe they can learn these valuable skills as young as 2 years old. We deliver our Students Save Lives incursions at childcare centers, kindergartens, school camps, and school holiday and Outside Hours School Care programs.
The incursions are fun and interactive! They have been specifically created by paramedics and teachers to engage children at a developmentally appropriate level. For our youngest students at childcare, we incorporate our mascot "Pablo" the Paramedic bear into the sessions*.
Incursion structure and content advances depending on student age and ability. Topics include -
- Identifying an emergency and calling for an ambulance
- Recognising a breathing and non-breathing person
- How to perform CPR
